Find below our laboratory thermometer range with spirit filling. We stock a large glass thermometer selection of temperature ranges and lengths. A laboratory thermometer is a tool used in laboratories to measure temperature with high accuracy and can be partially or fully immersed in the substance being measured. Often referred to as a glass thermometer, they come complete with a non-roll end cap.

A laboratory glass thermometer is easily recognizable by its long glass stem with a coloured spirit filled bulb at the end. The spirit expands as the temperature increases, which raises the reading, while decreasing temperatures contract the spirit, lowering the reading.

Is a glass thermometer accurate?

The accuracy of our glass thermometer products is typically +/-1C unless otherwise stated. For applications which require higher accuracy, we do have a +/-0.5C glass thermometer here. All our laboratory glass thermometers come complete with a non-roll end cap which eliminates breakages.
